Tri-School Advanced Drama Class

Welcome! Here you’ll find links to recordings of performances of the Tri-School Advanced Drama Class. This class is held at Junipero Serra High School. It is taught by Mr. Lawrence Long, and is made up of students from Mercy, Notre Dame, and Serra High Schools. Students in the class are currently enrolled in either Drama 2, 3, or 4.
Recordings of class projects and performances will be posted as they become available.

2024/25

Devised Audio Drama

Student groups wrote and designed the script and all practical sound effects for a shoft audio drama or radio play. They wrote and revised a script based on a chosen genre, recorded sound effects and music, then mixed it all together in the schools Music Production Lab. Using only sound, they were tasked with instilling their audience with a specifc feeling of genre specific atmosphere and emotion.

Movement Theater Pieces

Studen groups took myths, fables, and fairytales and created movement pieces that retold them with a new point of view. Utlizing neutral white masks and costumes, this storytelling relies on intetional physicality, light, and music to communicate with the audience.
